Afghan Voice Agency(AVA), Trump spoke to the leaders of more than 50 Muslim countries including from Afghanistan at a summit in Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.
“Courageous Afghan soldiers are making tremendous sacrifices in the fight against the Taliban, and others, in the fight for their country,” Trump said.
The visit to Saudi was Trump’s first foreign trip after becoming U.S. president in January.
In his speech, Trump urged Arab and Islamic leaders to unite and do their share to defeat Islamic extremists.
“Terrorism has spread all across the world. But the path to peace begins right here, on this ancient soil, in this sacred land,” he said.
“A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and drive out the extremists. Drive them out! Drive them out of your places of worship, drive them out of your communities, drive them out of your hold land and drive them out of this earth,” he said.
