Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, responded to the US State Department's annual report on human rights violations in the country.

Mujahid made these statements in an audio tape that was released on Tuesday, 4th of Thor through national radio and television.
 
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate added: "What is defined in America and other western countries, culture and human rights is different from Afghanistan, and westerners should not impose their culture on other countries."
 
Meanwhile, the US State Department claimed in its annual report published yesterday that the Islamic Emirate continued to violate human rights last year, including corporal punishment of people accused of "immoral behavior" in Afghanistan.
 
Based on the claims made in the report of the US State Department, the Islamic Emirate has issued decrees that contradict the laws of Afghanistan and the country's commitments in international conventions.
 
Also, in its annual report, the US State Department has once again emphasized that this country will not recognize the Islamic Emirate.
 
In the report of the US State Department published on Monday, it is stated that "so far, this country has not decided to recognize the Taliban or any other entity as the "Government of Afghanistan".
 
The existence of administrative corruption, the imposition of severe restrictions on domestic and international human rights organizations, gender-based violence including family violence, forced marriages and other forms of violence are among the issues highlighted in this report.
 
It should be mentioned that the US State Department has presented its report on the human rights situation in nearly 200 countries of the world and the region, including Gaza.
