Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Since mid-February, users in Pakistan have reported problems in using the X social network "formerly Twitter", but the government of this country has not announced any official news about it.

Now, the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan, in a written document to the Islamabad High Court, announced the blocking of access to this platform.

Abdul Moez Jafari, an activist and one of the petitioners to remove the "X" filter, said: Another court has told the government to reconsider this ban within a week.

The Ministry of Interior of Pakistan has informed the High Court of Islamabad: It is quite appropriate to mention that the failure of "X" to comply with the legal instructions of the government of Pakistan and to address concerns about the abuse of this platform necessitated the imposition of this ban.

This institution stated that "X" had no desire to solve this issue, but "X" company did not comment on this.

The report of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan states: The decision to ban "X" in Pakistan was made in order to maintain national security, maintain public order and maintain the integrity of the country.

According to a Reuters report, access to the "X" social network has been limited since the national elections were held on February 8.
