ISIS accepted responsibility for the attack on Imam Zaman (AS) mosque in Herat
The Khorasan branch of the ISIS terrorist group has taken responsibility for the attack on Shia worshipers in Mohammadiyeh town of Guzrah district of Herat province by issuing a notification.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Khorasan branch of the ISIS terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack on Shiite worshipers in the town of Mohammadiyeh, Guzrah district of Herat province.

In a statement, this terrorist group said that its members attacked the Shiite mosque and in this attack at least six people, including the imam of the mosque, were killed (martyred) and other worshipers were injured.
 
It should be noted that this attack on Monday evening (April 30) targeted the worshipers as they were leaving the mosque in Mohammadiyeh town, which is also known as Andisheh town, in Gozrah district of Herat.
 
According to local sources, two armed attackers on a motorcycle shot at the worshipers.
 
In this attack, six people including four men, one child and one woman were martyred and two people were injured. Sheikh Javed, who was the lawyer of the passage and the imam of the mosque, was also among the martyrs.
 
In this regard, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, Abdulmatin Ghane, said that an armed person shot at the worshipers with a Kalashnikov around 9:00, as a result of which six people were martyred and one person was wounded.
