Terrorist attacks and the silence of the West: Is support for terrorism hidden in the shadow of human rights?
Seyed Hamed Amini/ The recent ISIS attacks, which shook the heart of Europe, show a bitter and painful reality: in a world that seeks security and peace, some countries have fueled terrorism and extremism with their behavior instead of solidarity and cooperation. In the meantime, the silence and ignoring of the arms support of some countries, such as Germany, to the Zionist regime and its consequences on human rights, raises serious questions.
Germany, as one of the advanced countries that claims human rights, while sending advanced weapons to Israel, clearly ignores the humanitarian crises in Gaza and other occupied territories. This behavior not only fuels humanitarian crises, but is also a sign of complicity in human rights violations. Why should a country that prides itself on supporting the principles of human rights continue to support a regime that is known for flagrant violations of these rights?
This is despite the fact that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as an Islamic government, has stood up against terrorist groups like ISIS and resolutely fought against extremism in the last three years. Despite many challenges, this government has shown that it is possible to establish security and stability in the country with serious efforts and determination, especially with the support of the people.
Along with this, Iran and other Islamic countries, as the supporters of peace and stability in the region, are seriously fighting terrorism. These countries have shown that despite all the challenges, they seek to strengthen national security and regional cooperation, and at the same time, they also care about issues such as human rights.
However, isn't it time for Western countries, especially Germany, to wake up and instead of supporting terrorist groups and aggressor regimes, emphasize joint cooperation in the fight against terrorism? Silence in the face of human rights violations and support for terrorism only fuels crises and will be detrimental to these countries.
These attacks should be a wake-up call for everyone. The world should pay attention to the fact that solidarity and cooperation in the fight against terrorism not only leads to the elimination of threats, but also to the creation of common understanding and respect for human rights. It is time for the Islamic countries to be recognized as torchbearers of world peace and security, and instead of tension, they should adopt ways of cooperation.
Finally, establishing security at the global level requires collective effort and cooperation. With their experiences in fighting terrorism and extremism, Islamic countries can act as a model for other countries and contribute to global security.
