The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 268 Afghan citizens who were in Iranian prisons were transferred to Afghanistan based on the agreement between the two countries.

The Islamic Emirate appreciated this work of the Islamic Republic of Iran, called it a positive step and said that such measures will deepen and strengthen relations and cooperation between the two sides.

 

On the other hand, Iranian media have reported that on Sunday March 5, there was a "clash and shooting" between Taliban forces and Iranian border guards at the Milk border of Hirmand city in northern Sistan and Baluchistan.

 

Tasnim, quoting a source, reported that this conflict and shooting by the border guards of Iran and the Taliban "did not cause any casualties."

 

The release of dozens of prisoners and their return to Afghanistan, just a few days after the visit of the Attorney General of the Islamic Emirate to Tehran, shows the goodwill of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the will of the leaders of Tehran to expand and deepen relations and improve the level of bilateral cooperation.
