The Afghan player is the youngest player of the World Cup
The World Football Federation (FIFA) introduced Mehran Gholami, a player of the Afghanistan national futsal team, as the youngest player of the World Cup at the age of 18.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The 2024 Futsal World Cup started yesterday, 24th of the month, hosted by Uzbekistan, and the Afghanistan national team is in group C with Angola, Ukraine and Argentina.

In a report, the International Football Federation paid attention to Mehran Gholami, the youngest player of the tournament who is in the Afghanistan national team, and conducted an interview with him, which is as follows:

Mehran Gholami entered this life when Pablo Taborda, defender of Argentina, was starting his futsal career. It is incredible to see these two players together on the field during this World Cup. Afghanistan's participation in the World Cup is due to the 18-year-old player's goal in the Asian Futsal Nations Cup in April. Mehran Gholami helped Afghanistan to advance to the World Cup for the first time by winning against Kyrgyzstan.

Gholami told FIFA: It was the best day of my life. We played a great game and thanks to a very good result we were able to advance to the World Cup. I feel really proud that we were the ones who brought our country to the World Cup for the first time. I always wanted to see Afghanistan in the World Cup. This was the goal of the technical staff and players of the Afghanistan national team from the beginning. We achieved this dream with intense training and being away from our family.

He said: "With all due respect to the proud athletes of my country, we were able to achieve the greatest achievement in the history of Afghanistan's sports, and I witnessed that people all over the country celebrated this success."

Afghanistan's number eight said: Playing at such a young age in the World Cup was worth it for me and my family to work so hard. I thank God. I don't think there is a better feeling.

In this period of competition, the teams of Uzbekistan, Thailand and Iran are also present as representatives of Asia, and Afghanistan will appear in these games for the first time under the guidance of its Iranian head coach, Majid Mortezaei.

The Afghanistan national team is one of the youngest teams in this period and 4 players of this team are present in the Iranian Premier League.

The Afghanistan national futsal team will face the Angolan national team in the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in their first match today at 05:00 in the afternoon, Kabul time.
