Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: The press office of Bamyan provincial authority has sent a newsletter to AVA informing about the meeting of the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees with the governor of Bamyan.
Maulawi Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of Bamyan, appreciated the cooperation of the United Nations Commissioner for Refugees and said that the immigrants and the needy of Bamyan need more cooperation. He requested the United Nations Office for Refugees to provide the homeless refugees of Bamyan with their means of living.
The governor of Bamyan has mentioned the problems of lack of drinking water in Bamyan University and four urban areas of the center of Bamyan province and has requested the supply of drinking water for the university and the urban areas of the center of Bamyan from the United Nations.
On the other hand, Arafat Jamal, the head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for Afghanistan, expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation of Bamyan governor and said that the Yunsiar office has cooperated with refugees, displaced people and needy people throughout the country, especially in Bamyan province.
He has assured the governor of the continuation of this office's assistance to homeless refugees and returnees in Bamyan.
Arafat Jamal, regarding the request of the governor of Bamyan regarding the supply of healthy drinking water sources in the university and urban areas of Bamyan, has also said that this institution is working in this field.
