The death toll from the flood in Bangladesh reached 59
According to the Bangladeshi authorities, the great flood in this country has affected the lives of more than 5 million people and has also claimed the lives of 59 people so far.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Although about 2 weeks have passed since the beginning of monsoon rains in Bangladesh, floods have still disrupted people's lives.

According to the report of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Bangladesh said on Saturday in its latest report on the severe flood situation in the country that at least 59 people, including 6 women and 12 children, were killed in the flood.

According to this statement, more than 5 million residents of 11 provinces of this country were affected by rising river water and flooding.

Most of the dead are from Feni and Comilla districts on the border with India. Some media announced that India's action in opening the border rivers was the reason for the aggravation of the flood, which New Delhi has denied.

According to Bangladeshi media, more than 700,000 people are still trapped in the flood, and almost 400,000 people are now living in shelters.

Concerns about the outbreak of diseases linked to drinking water contamination have increased, and 3,000 people were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.

According to Fars, local authorities announced that the current flood was unprecedented in the past 37 years.
