The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his visit to Saravan city of Sistan and Baluchistan province of this country, emphasized: Blocking the border in Sistan and Baluchistan is being done to increase Iran's security and prevent drug trafficking.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi on Thursday, August 15 during his visit to Saravan city of Sistan and Baluchistan province, said that one of the good actions of the 13th government of this country is to deal with the issue of blocking the borders.

During this trip, he visited the way of serving the Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims at the border of Mirjaveh and said: the situation of the Mirjaveh border terminal and the issue of transportation have improved a lot compared to the past, and good measures have been taken to facilitate and serve the pilgrims.

He said: Regarding the blocking of the border, a visit was also made in the presence of the Governor/Governor of Sistan and Baluchistan, a very good action that was carried out in the government of Martyr Raisi with the aim of preventing the movement of terrorists, smugglers and illegal nationals and is still being carried out.

Vahidi said: Part of the work on the border is being done by the ground forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and part of the work is being done by Faraja.

He added that during this trip, he will visit the border of Rimdan, the terminal and traffic and issues related to the passage of Pakistani pilgrims.

Meanwhile, last week, the commander of Iran's Faraja Border Guard said in a conversation about the latest status of the country's border blocking project that in the second half of this year, the implementation of new border blocking plans has started and by the end of next year, the border blocking of southeastern Iran will be completed.
