Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The tournament, supported financially by the Indonesian Embassy, is being held at the 2,500-seat gymnasium and features 24 athletes from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Russia.
According to the National Olympic Committee’s media office, the championship will see athletes compete over three days in both singles and doubles categories.
The international participants include three players and one coach, while 18 national players, including members of the national team, are also competing.
In the opening doubles match, Pakistani players Tahir Khan and Zahib Khan faced Afghan players Enamullah and Shakeb Iqbal, with the Pakistani team securing victory.
The National Badminton Federation aims to promote and develop the sport and its athletes through this event and has allocated cash prizes for the champions./Bakhtar News
