Preliminary works of the new road connecting Omid Sabz to Erfani settlement in western Kabul begin
The Kabul Municipality has announced the start of preliminary works on the construction of a new main road from Omid Sabz settlement to Erfani settlement (Dasht-e-Barchi area) and its connecting road to Qala-e-Qazi road in the 13th district.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Kabul Municipality said in a statement that after clearing and removing obstacles and houses under acquisition, the preliminary works of construction of a new main road from Omid Sabz settlement to Erfani settlement (Dasht-e Barchi area) and a communication road have been completed. It starts from Qala-e-Qazi Road in the 13th district.
 
The agency adds that the construction of these two roads will further facilitate economic growth in western Kabul and provide many facilities for citizens to travel.
 
The main road from Omid Sabz settlement to Erfani settlement is 3.8 kilometers long and 45 meters wide and its connecting road to Qala-e-Qazi is on the 1.1 kilometer long and 20-meter-wide ring road, which will be constructed in 18 months.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Kabul Municipality has planned to build several roads in the capital in its development plans this year.
