The nearly 60 governments on trial for its brutal military operation in Gaza will be allowed to present legal arguments to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Judges granted permission to 18 states – including the United States, Germany and South Africa – as well as 40 organizations and individuals to submit documents by August 6.
They are related to ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan’s request in May for arrest warrants in relation to the barbarous Israeli hostilities in Gaza.
93 nations, all them state parties to the Rome Statute that created the court, earlier reiterated their support for the ICC as it assesses an application for arrest warrants of high level Israeli officials accused of perpetrating war crimes in Gaza.
Both the United States and Israel have condemned the ICC chief prosecutor for his May 20 arrest warrant applications for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister for Military Affairs Yoav Gallant over "war crimes" and "crimes against humanity."
In April, it was reported that the administration of US President Joe Biden was working behind the scenes to block the ICC from issuing any arrest warrants targeting Israel authorities.
Netanyahu and Gallant are accused, among other war crimes, of “starvation of civilians as a method of warfare” and “intentionally directing attacks against a civilian population” from October 7, 2023./Press TV
