Slovenia recognized the independent state of Palestine
The Prime Minister of Slovenia announced that along with Spain, Norway and Ireland, it recognizes the independent state of Palestine.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Reuters news agency wrote that Robert Golob, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, following the actions of Spain, Ireland and Norway, announced today that the government of Slovenia has agreed to recognize the independent state of Palestine.

The parliament should also approve the government's decision in the coming days.

According to the Associated Press news agency, although the approval of the parliament is necessary for the implementation of this measure, the ruling liberal coalition has a majority in the parliament and the upcoming vote is considered a formality.

Golub also called for an immediate end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas and the release of all prisoners.

According to Reuters, the Palestinian flag was flown alongside the flags of Slovenia and the European Union in front of the government building in downtown Ljubljana.

On May 28, Spain, Ireland and Norway recognized the state of Palestine.

According to IRNA, out of 27 EU members, Sweden, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria have already recognized the state of Palestine. Malta has also announced that it will take such action soon.

Britain and Australia have said they are considering recognizing Palestine, but France has said now is not the time to do so.

Germany, along with America, has refused to recognize Palestine by insisting that the solution to the formation of two governments can only be achieved through dialogue.

The Danish Parliament also rejected the 8th bill to recognize the state of Palestine.
