McCall: The withdrawal from Afghanistan was the beginning of showing America
Michael McCall, the head of the foreign relations committee of the US House of Representatives, considered the withdrawal from Afghanistan to be the beginning of showing the country's weakness on the world stage and said: The deadly, chaotic and disastrous withdrawal of this country from Afghanistan will remain as a stain on the US foreign policy for generations.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The head of the foreign relations committee of the US House of Representatives says that the country's deadly, chaotic and disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan will remain as a stain on US foreign policy for generations.

McCall said yesterday (Thursday, May 24) at the hearing meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives in the presence of Anthony Blinken, the foreign minister of this country, that the withdrawal from Afghanistan was done despite the warnings about its consequences.

The head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives considered the withdrawal from Afghanistan to be the beginning of showing the country's weakness on the world stage and referring to the war in Ukraine and the tensions in the Middle East, he said: "Everything started with the fall of Afghanistan."

He said: "After the shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan, this government displayed weakness on the world stage."

Mr. McCall has said that shortly after leaving Afghanistan, we saw Russian forces build up on the Ukrainian border, and then we were unable to provide vital aid to Ukraine until the Russian invasion began.

He also mentioned the war in Gaza, the increasing power of China and the country's attempt to attack Ukraine and the continuation of Iran's nuclear program and said: "This government has invited increasing aggression by projecting weakness on the world stage."

In this meeting, McCall said that the report of the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives on the withdrawal from Afghanistan will be published in September, and he asked Blinken to appear before this committee to testify.

The US foreign minister has said that he has attended the foreign relations committee of the House of Representatives five times, including only once regarding Afghanistan.

He added that the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives can ask the teams of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to talk about the report of this committee.

Since the withdrawal of America from Afghanistan, the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives of this country has started its investigation on the process of withdrawal and evacuation from Afghanistan and has called various officials of this country to answer and testify.

McCall has repeatedly criticized the US withdrawal process from Afghanistan and described it as "disastrous".
