Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Mohammad Hassan Asafari, representative of Arak city in the Iranian parliament (Majlis), in an interview with Mehr News Agency, stressing the need to expel the Zionist regime from Paris Olympic games, stated, "After the Russian special operation in Ukraine, we witnessed that Russia and Belarus were suspended from participating in all international competitions and, on the other hand, no athletic event was held in Russia and Belarus."
Asafari stressed, "Just as Russia, Belarus and some other countries, during the past years, have been suspended from Olympic games due to various reasons, the Zionist regime, too, because of savage attacks on Palestine during the past months, must be suspended from the Paris 2024 Olympic games.”
The lawmaker made it clear, "If the world people are really fed up with the oppression of the Zionist regime against the innocent people of Gaza, they should practically stand against the Zionist regime and a good opportunity to do this is the request for non-presence of the representatives of the Zionist regime in the upcoming Olympic Games."
Stating that the free people of the world should show that they are not siding by the Zionist regime, he continued, "All countries of the world should be mobilized and ask the officials holding the Olympics and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to suspend the Zionist regime and not permit the athletes of this regime to participate in the Olympic games."
