Dutch lawyers seeking to arrest Netanyahu
A group of Dutch lawyers, presenting an appeal to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, called for the issuance of arrest warrant of Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The ICC, citing "Rome Statute" ratified in 1998, has been set up to address the crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crime of aggression.
Although the Zionist regime and the US have signed "Rome Statute", they are not member states of the ICC because of refusing to finalize it.
As a result of the South African complaint against the Zionist regime in February, 2024, the International Court of Justice obligated the Zionist regime to present a report every month of its measures to this international body. But the Zionist regime not only has refused to do this, but also the war machine of Netanyahu keeps advancing and currently Rafah is another central point indicting the barbaric crimes of this regime.
Since a few days ago, reports have been released on the media based on the imminent issuance of a verdict of guilty for Netanyahu and other officials of the Zionist regime. Netanyahu has been under unusual pressures about the likely issuance of subpoena.
Netanyahu has started efforts to prevent the issuance of subpoena with special concentration on the Joe Biden administration. It seems very unlikely that the officials of the Zionist regime are surprised with the possible verdict of the ICC.
Meanwhile, the Hebrew language media have admitted that the possible issuance of warrant arrest by the ICC in The Hague will seriously concern Netanyahu, the Zionist regime prime minister.
Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) of the ICC a few days ago, saying that it is aware of the official and unofficial concerns related to the investigation of this body on the war in Gaza, stressed the continuation of this investigation.
This office, issuing a statement, called for halting of every effort to obstruct, intimidate or affect the ICC officials and reiterated that independence and neutrality of the ICC will be weakened once there is a threat of revenge against it or its officials.
The OTP also emphasized that any threat against it, even without taking a measure, according to the Rome Statute, may be a crime against execution of justice.
Earlier, too, informed sources had announced that the ICC prosecutor had met and talked with the personnel of hospitals al-Shafa in the North and Nasser in the South of the Gaza Strip.
According to these sources, which spoke under the condition of anonymity, the events occurred in these hospitals will be annexed to other investigations carried out by the ICC on war crimes, crimes against humanity, crime of aggression and genocide in the Gaza Strip.
It seems that the measure of lawyers in South Africa and the Netherlands will be a role model for lawyers of other countries whereby to increase pressure on Netanyahu and his regime to, ultimately, entrap them and stop their carnage machine./Pars Today
