Uzbekistan wants to invest in coal and cement power generation sectors in Afghanistan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said in a meeting with his Afghan counterpart in Kabul that his country wants to invest in the sectors of cement production, coal mining and electricity generation from coal in Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has published a newsletter announcing the meeting of Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the head of the ministry, with Bakhtiar Saidov, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan and the high-ranking delegation of this country in Kabul.

In this meeting, Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, considered the trade between the two countries to be expanding and expressed hope that more facilities will be found in this sector.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs also called for ease in issuing visas for Afghan businessmen and transportation workers and added that the decrease in imported electricity from Uzbekistan in the winter has caused problems for all citizens, especially industrialists.

He expressed his hope that the problems of reducing Uzbekistan's imported electricity will also be solved.

At the same time, Mr. Saidov praised the security in Afghanistan after the victory of the Islamic Emirate and, emphasizing Afghanistan's inclusion in the international community, added that his country supports Afghanistan in all international efforts and formats.

The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan has said that his country wants to invest in the sectors of cement production, coal mining and electricity production from coal in Afghanistan.
