There was a strong commitment to Afghanistan and its citizens at the Doha meeting
The European Union's special representative for Afghanistan said in connection with the Doha meeting held in Qatar earlier this week that there was a "strong commitment" to Afghanistan and its citizens.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Thomas Nicholson wrote in X that in this meeting, the interaction and support for a peaceful Afghanistan and an Afghanistan where the political rights of its citizens are respected were also emphasized.

Mr. Nicholson added that many participants of this meeting, including the representative of the European Union and Muslim-majority countries, repeated the demands of Afghan citizens for women and girls to have access to work and education.

According to Mr. Nicholson's words, at the Doha meeting, some praised the Islamic Emirate's achievements in the fight against narcotics, treatment of drug addicts, and the fight against Daesh, while others expressed concern about the activities of some terrorist groups in this country.

He said: In this meeting, he also received the desire to participate and support an Afghanistan that is at peace with itself, the region, and the international community, and in which the rights of all citizens, including their political rights, are observed and respected.

Nicholson added that he regrets the lack of participation of the Islamic Emirate in this meeting.
