Vladimir Putin: The issue of Ukraine is a matter of life and death for Russia
Referring to his recent interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that for the West, the Ukraine issue boils down to improving the tactical situation, while for the procedure it is a matter of life and death.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The President of Russia said: Everything that happens to Ukraine is considered a matter of life and death for Russia, while the fate of Ukraine is not important for the West and everything boils down to tactical positions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, referring to his recent interview with Tucker Carlson, an American journalist and former Fox News anchor, said: I think it is important for us, and even more so for listeners and viewers abroad, that Let's understand the path of our thoughts and our conditions, and also understand how sensitive and important everything that happens in Ukraine is for our country.

According to the Sputnik news agency, the Russian president added: "For the West, the issue of Ukraine boils down to improving the tactical situation, while for us it is a matter of life and death."

"I think it's important for us, and even more so for listeners and viewers abroad, to understand the Russian thought process," he said. Understand our situation, understand how sensitive and important this situation is for our country, that is, all the things that are happening in Ukraine. For them, this is to improve their tactical position. But for us, this is a matter of life and death.

Putin emphasized: I wanted people listening to this interview to understand it. Now whether this effort is successful or not is up to them to judge.

He also said: If the West wants, Russia is ready to solve the Ukraine crisis.

"I don't know, do they want to do it today?" Putin said. please do it. I have already said that we are ready to talk.

Vladimir Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson was the first interview with a Western journalist, especially an American, since the beginning of "special operations" in Ukraine. The Russian leader spoke for two hours and six minutes and answered 60 questions.

Tucker Carlson is a correspondent close to Donald Trump. His interview with Putin was published on the "X" social network, which belongs to Elon Musk, an American entrepreneur and capitalist.

In the wake of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, the West has imposed extensive sanctions against Russia and sought alternative routes for Russian gas, but Vladimir Putin says his country will counter the Western action by using other external routes and is working on its domestic gas supply.

In an interview with "Pavel Zarubin", a famous Russian journalist, he said: "Fortunately, we are dealing with this issue and have turned to other paths." We solve our internal economic problems by using other external routes. At the same time, Russia does not deny selling energy to anyone and considers Turkey as the most reliable partner, which continues to pump gas through the TurkStream pipeline.

Referring to the attacks on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, the Russian president added: despite these attacks, one of the routes of this pipeline is still active. European countries expected that if they do not buy Russian gas, the Russian economy will collapse, but we see the opposite happening in the European Union and European industry. It is true that Russia will make more money then by buying Russian gas from Europe, but less reliance on Russian energy will be better for other sectors of our economy and actively develop them.
