He said that there is no group affiliated with Iran's armed forces, whether in Iraq, Syria or anywhere else, that directly or indirectly acts under Iran's control or on its behalf.

In continuation of the baseless claims of the American authorities about the attacks of the resistance groups on the country's bases in Iraq and Syria and attributing it to Iran, the permanent representative of the United States to the United Nations claimed in a letter on January 26, 2024 that the militia groups affiliated with the Iranian armed forces in actions They are involved against American personnel and facilities in Iraq and Syria.

The Pentagon's deputy spokesman recently stated that the US military in Iraq and Syria have been attacked 165 times from October 7, 2023 to January 29, 2024, 66 times the American bases and 98 times the country's bases in Syria. and in these attacks, about 80 American soldiers have suffered injuries of varying severity.

In this letter, Irvani called the actions taken by the United States in Syria and Iraq illegal and in violation of international laws and the United Nations Charter, especially Article 2 (4) of the Charter, and stated that the letter of the United States to the Security Council has no legal basis and cannot be legitimize such actions.

It is worth mentioning that after the attack on the base of the American forces near the border of Jordan, the American authorities accused Iran of being behind this attack and supporting the resistance groups.
