Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The meeting, scheduled for February 18-19, will gather special envoys from different countries to address Afghanistan’s pressing issues.
Discussions will also revolve around forming a contact group and reviewing recommendations from Special Coordinator Feridun Sinirlioglu regarding his assessment of Afghanistan.
In addition, emphasis is being placed on appointing the UN special representative before the Doha meeting and ensuring their participation.
The agenda includes deliberations on independent evaluation proposals by the organization, with a focus on the political process once key decisions are made.
Earlier, Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, announced on January 24th that the meeting’s main objective is to explore ways to enhance international involvement in Afghanistan in a unified and organized fashion while considering the suggestions put forth by an independent country assessment.
