The Lebanese and Palestinian Islamic resistance groups joined forces in denouncing the US and UK airstrikes on Yemen, stressing that the attacks align these countries with Israel amid the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
Afghan voice Agency (AVA)-Monitoring: Hezbollah, in a statement on Friday, condemned the "blatant American-British aggression against brotherly Yemen," emphasizing its impact on Yemen's security, sovereignty, and its freedom-loving people.
The statement from Hezbollah said, "The American aggression confirms once again that the US is a full partner in the tragedies and massacres committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza and the region."
The group saluted the Yemeni nation, the Yemeni Armed Forces, and the Ansarullah resistance movement.
Hezbollah affirmed that this act of aggression will not weaken Yemen's strength but rather solidify the nation's determination to confront it, defend itself, and continue supporting the Palestinian people.
On Friday, US and British forces launched air, ship, and submarine strikes in Yemen. US President Joe Biden confirmed the assaults, mentioning the involvement of the United States, Britain, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands.
The strikes follow Yemeni forces targeting Israeli-owned and Israeli-bound shipping in the Red Sea, in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, where more than 23,500 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli onslaughts since October 7.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group also saluted Yemenis for their honorable stance and condemned the US and UK strikes on Yemen. The resistance group called upon Arab and Muslim nations to take action.
The Iraqi Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada anti-terror resistance group also denounced the strikes, expressing full solidarity with the Axis of the Resistance against tyranny and pledging unconditional support for Palestinians in Gaza.
The group criticized the US arrogance and its alliance against Yemen, emphasizing the need to end the presence of the Zionist entity and American occupation forces in the region.
Yemenis continue to openly support Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation, with reports indicating Israeli shipping companies rerouting vessels due to fears of Yemeni forces' attacks.
