The return of about 500 Afghan refugees, including 74 prisoners released from Pakistan
Officials in the Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees say that 474 Afghan immigrants, including 74 released prisoners, returned to the country from Pakistan yesterday (Tuesday, January 9).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Immigrants wrote in X: According to the report of the Spin-Boldak border command of Kandahar province, 36 families including 212 people and 74 prisoners who were released from prison returned to the country through the Spin-Boldak crossing of Kandahar province.
 
These immigrants were introduced to the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner, the World Food Organization and the International Organization for Migration after registering with the Immigration Office.
 
An amount of 10,000 Afghani has been distributed to each family by the committee in charge of the crossing.
 
According to the information of Torkham border administration of Nangarhar province, 38 families including 188 people have been forcibly returned to the country through Torkham crossing.
 
According to Torkham border commander, returnees were introduced to the offices of the United Nations Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration for further assistance after registering with the mandated committees.
 
Meanwhile, the process of expelling Afghan immigrants from Pakistan continues.
