Russia is developing its relations with the Islamic Emirate
A senior official of the Russian Foreign Ministry has said that his country is developing relations with the Islamic Emirate and there is a need to eliminate the existing stereotypical thinking about Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Tass news agency has reported that Timofey Boykov, the head of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that his country is developing relations with the Islamic Emirate and there is a need to eliminate stereotypes about Afghanistan.

He said: "Russia is developing relations with Kabul and the caretaker government (Islamic Emirate). We believe that the Taliban (Islamic Emirate) are able to reach an agreement. We believe that they are in full control of the situation in the country. "We are establishing equal relations with them in line with commercial interests and economic cooperation."

The senior Russian diplomat noted that it is important to have a frank conversation about Afghanistan "with a focus on eliminating stereotypes about this country."
