Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: US Assistant Secretary of State for Refugees, Julieta Walsh-Noys, has informed about her separate meetings with Asif Ali Durrani, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan and the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in Islamabad.
Today, Tuesday, December 5, Novis wrote on X social page that he had a meeting with Asif Durrani about the protection and resettlement of Afghan refugees.
The US Assistant Secretary of State has also announced his meeting with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner in Pakistan.
In this meeting, he thanked the United Nations High Commissioner for the organization's support to Afghan immigrants in that country.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali Durrani, Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan, said that he had a conversation with Giulietta Walz-Noys about the situation of Afghan refugees.
According to him, the US ambassador in Islamabad was also present in this meeting.
Earlier, Pakistani media had reported that in the midst of the expulsion of Afghan immigrants from Pakistan, three senior officials of the US State Department are scheduled to travel to Islamabad this week to discuss the status of immigrants and relations between Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate.
