Resumption of Gaza War Shows Israel’s Disregard for Int’l Calls: Amirabdollahian
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian lashed out at the Zionist regime for renewing the bombardment of Gaza after a ceasefire, saying these war crimes indicate Israel’s total disregard for the international calls and the public opinion’s demands.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: In a telephone conversation with his Omani counterpart on Friday, Amirabdollahian voiced concern about the Zionist regime's renewed war crimes in Gaza, highlighting its disregard for international requests and global public opinion.
He also stressed the importance of increased efforts by the Islamic countries to halt the Israeli transgression, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
"On my trip to Beirut last week, I was informed by the leaders of the resistance that in the event of a resumption of attacks by the Israeli regime, the resistance's response will be off-putting and even more robust than ever,” he added.
For his part, Omani Foreign Minister Sayid Badr Albusaidi deplored the resumption of war in Gaza and its escalation in the region.
Both foreign ministers emphasized the urgency of securing a lasting ceasefire, along with the widespread delivery of humanitarian aid, and urged the international community to take effective measures towards achieving these goals.
The Israeli regime has renewed the bombardment of Gaza, hitting areas across the enclave after the end of a week-long truce.
UN humanitarian chief has again called for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying Palestinians in the besieged territory are “surrounded by disease, destruction and death”.
