The World Food Program has requested $27 million in funding to assist forced returnees from Pakistan
The World Food Program has announced that it needs $27.5 million in funding to help refugees forced to return from Pakistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The World Food Program today (Saturday, November 25) on X channel wrote that thousands of people are forced to return to Afghanistan from Pakistan every day.

"We urgently need $27.5 million to help them start over and survive the harsh winter," the World Food Program added.

The program said it was going to help one million people, and so far it has helped a quarter of that number.

Last month, Pakistan set a deadline for "illegal" migrants, including 1.7 million Afghan nationals, to leave the country.

Until now, hundreds of thousands of Afghans have returned to Afghanistan or been deported from Pakistan.

Recently, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has asked Pakistan to stop deporting undocumented Afghan migrants and refugees during the winter season.
