Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken says that the Biden administration will take all aspects of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, including the ISIS attack during the evacuation, which killed 13 soldiers of this country and more than 100 Afghan civilians.
Blinken made these statements on Sunday, the 19th of September, in an interview with CNN.
Blinken stated: "We are determined as a government to learn lessons from all wars, including the ISIS attack, and act accordingly."
This senior American diplomat once again emphasized that the decision of the Biden government to withdraw from Afghanistan was correct.
He added: "I know a lot of sacrifice over the years, and I know that President Biden ended America's longest war, it will not be like that in the future, I said in the past that we will not send another generation to fight and die there."
Meanwhile, Michael McCall, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the US Senate, recently and at the same time as the second anniversary of the withdrawal of the last American soldier from Afghanistan, said again that he considers this withdrawal to be irregular and deadly.
He has transcribed interviews of nine former officials, including Ross L. Wilson, the former head of the US Embassy in Kabul, Brian McKeon, the former US Assistant Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US Special Representative for Afghanistan Peace Affairs, and John Bess, the former US ambassador to Afghanistan, has requested.
Of course, a few months ago, Michael McCall emphasized the need for the Biden administration to be accountable for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. He said: "There are still many unanswered questions about how this happened. That is why I am investigating the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the resulting emergency evacuation."
Frank McKenzie, the former commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) also said in an exclusive interview with "Fox News" on Saturday, 18 September, "I believe that the date of withdrawal from Afghanistan, the way we did it and the way we were ordered to do it." "Given that we get out of there, it will be seen as a fatal mistake."
He added, "I regret how [the US presence] ended." As for the initial decision to leave, I think it was a wrong decision; I regret."
However; US President Joe Biden and his cabinet have previously defended the hasty withdrawal of this country's forces from Afghanistan, which led to the Islamic Emirate's dominance over the country.
Critics of the Biden government, including a number of former government officials and Republican representatives of the United States, consider the withdrawal of this country's military from Afghanistan and handing over power to the Islamic Emirate as a wrong decision by Joe Biden.
The US foreign minister once again defended the decision of the Biden administration to withdraw from Afghanistan, while this ministry is under intense pressure from the representatives of the Senate of this country.
I have to say; On April 14, 2021, US President Joe Biden announced that he had decided to end operations in Afghanistan, which became the longest foreign military operation in US history. The United States started this war in October 2001. At the peak of operations in 2013-2010, the number of Western forces in Afghanistan exceeded 150 thousand people. The withdrawal of American forces began in May 2021.
After the announcement of the United States' readiness to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan in the spring of 2021, the forces of the Islamic Emirate began a large-scale operation to establish control over the country. On August 15, 2021, the former president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani fled the country and the Islamic Emirate entered Kabul without a conflict. By early September 2021, the US military has completely left Afghanistan, ending the nearly 20-year occupation of Afghanistan.
