Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Following the visit of Imam Ali Rahman, the President of Tajikistan, to Badakhshan province of that country, the joint bazaars of the two countries in Nasi, Shagnan, Darvaz and Ashkashim districts have been reopened for trade on Saturday, September 2.

Local authorities of the Islamic Emirate and Mirza Nabat Ali Shir Khodaberdi, Governor of Mukhtar Kohistan Province of Badakhshan, Tajikistan, were present at the opening ceremony of these bazaars.

According to information, the order to reopen these bazaars has been given by Imam Ali Rahman.

In a meeting with the local authorities of the Islamic Emirate, this Tajik official stated that the purpose of reopening these bazaars is to provide better conditions for traders on both sides of the Amu Sea.

He emphasized that the reopening of these border markets is important for the development of trade between the two countries and creating jobs for the people of both sides.

Meanwhile, the local authorities of the Islamic Emirate in their meeting with the Tajik authorities have spoken about continuing efforts to increase cooperation between the two countries.

Four border bazaars between Afghanistan and Tajikistan in the mentioned district were closed two years ago today due to the Islamic Emirate's dominance over the country.
