Tajikistan: We are ready to cooperate with Iranian institutions in the Shahcheragh terrorist incident

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan in a press conference while condemning the Shahcheragh terrorist incident, said: We assure you that this incident will not affect the relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries.
 
In a press conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirajuddin Mehredin, condemned the terrorist incident in the Shahcheragh Shrine of Iran and emphasized that it did not affect the relations between his country and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, in response to a Fars reporter's question about attracting the citizens of this country to carry out terrorist acts, stated: We were informed about the occurrence of this terrorist incident by the media, and we have not been informed about this by Iran yet. We are ready to cooperate with the relevant institutions of the friendly and brotherly country of Iran.
 
He emphasized: We strongly condemn the terrorist incident of Shahcheragh and we wish patience and full recovery to the injured.
 
This Tajik political official continued: The President of Tajikistan is very accurate and right in emphasizing that "terrorists have no homeland, nation and religion and must be condemned". Therefore, without a doubt, this terrorist act will not affect the relations between Tajikistan and Iran.
 
Referring to the historical and deep-rooted nature of the relations between Tajikistan and Iran, Mehredin emphasized: the historical, cultural commonalities and unbreakable ties between the people of the two countries are much more than a criminal and terrorist agent can affect it. Rather, this incident highlights the importance of our cooperation and common fight against terrorism and other security threats. Therefore, if we receive an official request from the friend and brother country of Iran, the relevant institutions of Tajikistan will definitely cooperate in this regard.
 
It is worth mentioning that on Sunday of this week, a terrorist attacked the shrine of Shahcheragh in Iran, killing two people and injuring ten people. He and 11 other suspects have been arrested.
