Signing of 6 cooperation documents between Iran and Cuba in the last stage of Ayatollah Raisi's trip to Latin America

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The signing ceremony of bilateral cooperation documents between Iran and Cuba was held in the presence of "Sida Brahim Raisi" and "Miguel Diaz-Canel", the presidents of the two countries, and the high-ranking officials of the two countries signed 6 documents and a memorandum of cooperation.

 

These memoranda were in the areas of jurisdiction, comprehensive political cooperation, customs relations and cooperation in the field of information technology, which were signed by high-ranking Iranian and Cuban officials.

 

Ayatollah Sayed Ibrahim Raisi, the President of the Republic of Iran, arrived in Havana on Thursday morning, June 15, and was welcomed by the Cuban authorities upon his arrival at the international airport of this country. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel officially welcomed Ayatollah Raisi at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.

 

Raul Castro, the spiritual leader of Cuba, also met with Ayatollah Raisi during the Iranian president's visit to this country.

 

In the joint meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries, the President of Iran, pointing out that the Iranian nation stands against all conspiracies and has not stopped in its progress despite sanctions and extensive pressures and has defeated the American sanctions, stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran One of the effective ways to deal with sanctions is wide and close relations with independent countries.

 

Referring to the mutual capacities in Iran and Cuba, including in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology and various mineral resources, he clarified: the exchange of these capacities and also the exchange of experiences between them is one of the ways to expand cooperation between the two countries.

 

In this meeting, the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, referring to the president's regional trip to Latin America, added: The three countries that were the destination of your regional trip have a significant relationship with the Iranian revolution. Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, along with Iran, are the countries that fought the interventionist measures and sanctions of imperialism with their heroic resistance, and this trip is a sign of solidarity between countries that want to have an independent lifestyle.

 

He stated: The agreements reached during this trip will strengthen the economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, and I will personally follow the implementation of these agreements.

 

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran went to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba in Latin America on the morning of Monday last week, at the head of a political and economic delegation and in order to strengthen relations with friendly and aligned countries, Caracas being the first and Managua the second destination of the five-day trip.
