Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): King Abdullah II of Jordan said that Jerusalem is the first Qibla of Muslims and without solving the Palestinian issue, the region will not see stability and peace.
At the Jerusalem support conference, which is being held yesterday (Sunday, February 12), in Cairo, he urged the international community to assert the legitimate and just rights of the Palestinian nation to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The King of Jordan emphasized that preserving the opportunities for peace based on the two-state solution requires stopping all aggressions of the Zionist regime and the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to the report of the Jordanian website "Amoun", Abdullah II also said that Jordan continues to try to protect Islamic and Christian places in Jerusalem and to continue the restoration and reconstruction projects of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of Resurrection.
He added that the issue of Palestine will remain the priority of the issues of the Arab world and we emphasize the need to unite efforts to support the stability of the Palestinians in our land.
