Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, says: The Islamic Emirate, after being disappointed with the progress of the dialogue process, inevitably resorted to military action.
These statements are expressed after the publication of the book by Mike Pompeo, the former Secretary of State of the United States of America. Mike Pompeo has said in his book that Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was an obstacle to reaching a compromise during the peace talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Emirate.
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate now says that the negotiating team in Kabul was always against inter-Afghan talks.
Mr. Mujahid told TOLO News: When we reached an agreement with the Americans, later it was time to start intra-Afghan negotiations. Unfortunately, the Kabul government obstructed and the heads of the Kabul government at that time stood in the way and did not allow the inter-Afghan negotiations to proceed.
Zabihullah Mujahid adds that the Islamic Emirate was forced to take a military path. In this regard, he said: "There was a need for this and the Islamic Emirate was forced to solve this issue through military means."
Seyyed Javad Sajjadi, a university professor, says: "In all matters, we are currently facing an unfortunate situation, the root of which without a doubt goes back to Mr. Ashraf Ghani's irresponsible departure from the country."
Toriyali Zazi, an expert on political issues, said: Mr. Ghani's departure was a positive thing because if he had remained in the country, tragic events would have been repeated like the previous regimes.
A number of Kabul residents consider Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to be the cause of the collapse of the republican system and the economic crisis in the country.
Meanwhile, in a part of his book, the former US foreign minister called Ashraf Ghani, the former president of the country, the worst leader and a fraud at the same time, and accused him of regretting the humanitarian aid of the United States of America to the people of Afghanistan.
