Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): This attack happened yesterday morning (August 20), one day after explosions occurred near military bases in Russian-controlled areas in the Ukraine-Russia war.
According to reports, on the same day, 12 civilians were injured as a result of a Russian missile hitting a residential area in Ukraine.
Mykolayiv Governor Vitaly Kim said four children were among those injured in the attack, which damaged several private homes and a five-story residential building in Vuzhensk, about 30 kilometers from the Piednokrainsk nuclear power plant.
He added that as a result of Saturday's attack, a young girl lost one of her eyes.
On the other hand, Mikhail Razozhev, the governor of Sevastopol, said that a drone attacked the roof of the Russian fleet headquarters on Saturday. He said that the drone did not crash, but there were no casualties.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that its forces had killed a total of 44,900 Russian soldiers. They have said that this figure has an increase of 200 people compared to the previous day.
The United States announced on Friday for the first time that it will provide Scan Eagle surveillance drones, mine-resistant vehicles, anti-armor rounds and howitzers in a new package to help Ukraine's efforts to retake its territory.
"These capabilities are carefully calibrated to make the most difference on the battlefield and strengthen Ukraine's position at the negotiating table," said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
