AVA- Presidential spokesman Mohammad Haroon Chakahnsori told media that the government would attend only those meetings in which the Afghan government could play an important role.
Chakahnsori added the Afghan government would not participate in Moscow-like conferences in future as well.
The reaction comes days after former governor Atta Mohammad Noor said the Afghan government would also participate in next talks between the Taliban and Afghan politicians.
Noor, executive chief of the Jamiat-i-Islami party, made the revelation at a meeting about peace and elections in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, a few days back.
Noor did not mention a date for such a meeting, but said the next round of talks between politicians and the Taliban would take place in Doha, the Qatari capital.
