MoI names another 16 powerful crime suspects
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Wednesday released a list of 16 individuals it claimed were involved in land grabbing, harboring criminals, ties with armed militias and using force.
The list included the name of a Wolesi Jirga candidate and brothers of two incumbent lawmakers.

Before it, the MoI recently issued a list of 222 alleged criminals accused of different crimes in Kabul.

The MoI asked the individuals in the fresh list to refer to the Kabul Police Headquarters or to the Crime Department for clarity on alleged crimes they had been accused of.

Security forces on Tuesday raided the office of Abdul Hameed Khurasani, head of the Nuhzat-i-Islami Muqawamat in Kabul, but they were unable to capture him. Khurasani’s name is included in the list.

The name of lawmaker Allah Gul Mujahid’s brother Janat Gul is also in the list who is accused of illegally keeping 20 weapons and collecting illegal money from brick kilns.
