Three Taliban insurgents were killed when their bomb exploded in Afghanistan's western province of Herat, an official said Thursday.

AVA- Three more militants were wounded in the explosion which happened in Deh Aman area of Shindand district late Wednesday.
The bomb was planted on side of a road to target Afghan forces, said Jelani Farhad, a spokesman for provincial governor.
But it hit a car carrying Taliban militants. The dead included also a militant group commander Gul Mohammad.
