Germany stops deporting Afghan refugees: Balkhi
Germany has decided not to deport Afghan refugees following the deadly truck bomb attack outside the German embassy in Kabul two months ago, Afghan refugees minister said.

AVA- Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi, in an exclusive interview with 1TV, reiterated that according to the new decision made by the German interior ministry, only those would be deported, who perpetrate a crime. “In a contact with the German interior ministry, we have been told that they (the Germany) have decided not to deport anyone presently” Said Alemi.

Germany has conducted an investigation after its embassy was targeted by a massive truck bomb attack in Kabul, a probe that led to the suspension of the deportation process.

Meanwhile, several Afghan refugees gathered in front of the Swedish parliament, protesting against the deportation of Afghan asylum seekers.

Now, Balkhi hopes that Sweden treats Afghan refugees in the same way as Germany did.

“The Swedish officials assured me that they would treat them according to the laws and conventions,” he said. “Their demands would be considered as they are assessing the security situation of Afghanistan.”

Germany has deported more than 70 Afghan refugees since start of 2017
