Four senior advisors of Islamic State (IS) have been killed, following a U.S. airstrike in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan, U.S. forces in Afghanistan said in a statement Sunday.
AVA- “U.S. Forces-Afghanistan has confirmed the death of four senior advisers of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria-Khorasan in a strike that also killed the ISIS-K emir Abu Sayid in Kunar province on July 11, 2017,” the forces said in the statement.
The four eliminated ISIS-K Leaders were confirmed as Sheik Ziaullah, Mulawi Hubaib, Haji Shirullah and Assadullah, the statement said, adding that all of the four had played crucial role in Afghanistan.
“We will be relentless in our campaign against IS, and there are no safe havens in Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Gen. John Nicholson, commander of the U.S. Forces inAfghanistan, as saying.
