Russia in response to the statements of the US State Department:

The Gaza ceasefire resolution is binding for all parties
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, in response to the statements of the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who called the cease-fire resolution in Gaza non-binding; He emphasized that the UN Security Council Resolution 2728 on the Gaza war, in which the immediate establishment of a ceasefire and access to humanitarian aid, is binding on all parties.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The UN Security Council on Monday approved the draft resolution 2728, which calls for "an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the month of Ramadan, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and the guarantee of humanitarian access".

14 countries voted in favor of this resolution and America, unlike previous times, did not veto it and abstained.

This is despite the fact that three days before that, on the third Friday, Russia and China vetoed the draft of the American resolution on Gaza, the clauses of which were unilaterally in favor of the Zionist regime.

The draft of this resolution proposed by the United States in the UN Security Council on Gaza was not voted with 11 votes in favor, three votes against, including the veto of Russia and China and the opposition of Algeria, as well as one abstention from Guyana.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced in a statement that Russia and China presented this veto against this resolution supported by the United States, because it was only a "general necessity" to stop the war under the strict condition of releasing the hostages (Zionist prisoners).

It was also announced in this statement that this draft, while talking about the condemnation of the Palestinian group Hamas and describing it as a "terrorist organization", did not mention Israel as an "occupying power" and its numerous violations of humanitarian requirements.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated: The Russian side expects the binding resolution 2728 of the UN Security Council to lead to a reduction in violence in Gaza, including the prevention of Israeli operations in the city of Rafah, the release of hostages, (and) an increase in the supply of humanitarian aid to civilians.

According to ISNA, following the approval of Resolution 2728, Al-Arabiya reported that a White House official in a conversation with this network claimed that this resolution is not binding.

The United States has already vetoed three times the resolutions presented by other countries that demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Since the beginning of the ground and air attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza, the United States has remained the largest financial and arms provider of this regime and is apparently talking about a ceasefire. The number of martyrs in Gaza has reached nearly 32 thousand.
