Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-Sharif: Around 3:50 a.m., a strong earthquake shook the city of Mazar-Sharif yesterday, the center of Balkh province, for about 5 seconds. While confirming this earthquake, local government officials did not say anything about the amount of human and financial losses.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center has announced that this 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 35 kilometers.
This is despite the fact that the earthquake about 4 months ago left huge casualties and damage in Herat.
