Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, welcomed Rashid Mordaf, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and their accompanying delegation at Turgandi port between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
The purpose of this high-ranking Afghan-Turkmen delegation in Herat is to visit and promote the practical work flow of joint projects between the two mentioned countries in the fields of economy, transit, electricity, railways and energy.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate requested coordination with Turkmenistan to implement the "Top Project".
In 2016, with the presence of the leaders of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and India, the work of transferring 500 KV electricity from Turkmenistan to Pakistan (TAP) began.
