The students From Balkh who participated in the "Kangaroo International Mathematics Competition" were commended
The head of private schools in Balkh Province says that among the 1,000 students of Balkh Province schools who participated in the Kangaroo World Mathematics Competition, 21 of them were able to win gold medals. He adds that participating students from Balkh Province in these competitions are from the second to the twelfth grade and these competitions are useful and effective for strengthening and building the capacity of students.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayed Ibrahim Mortazavi, the head of Balkh Province Private Schools Union, said at the award ceremony for the medal winning students of the "World Kangaroo Mathematics Competition" that was held today, Sunday (1st Asad), that today's festival was held in honor of the students who won gold medals and letters of appreciation in the World Kangaroo Mathematics Competition in Balkh Province.
 
He added: These competitions are held every year in more than 80 countries.
 
The head of private schools of Balkh province added: In the recent competitions held in Balkh, about 1000 students participated, and among the participants, 21 students won gold medals and 82 other students received letters of appreciation, which is a matter of pride for education in Balkh province.
 
He also added that students from the second to the twelfth grades participated in this competition and the medals and letters of appreciation will be issued by the organizing association located in France. These competitions are useful and effective for strengthening and building the capacity of students, and the achievements of these Balkhi youths are impressive.
 
Professor Sharif Amir, head of the cultural department of Balkh province private schools union; He considered holding such international competitions effective among Afghan students and asked all private and public schools to learn exercises during the academic year for students to participate in the international kangaroo mathematics competition. Because studying outside the themes of the Ministry of Education can be a capacity builder for students.
 
It should be mentioned that the speakers of this festival, considering the days of Muharram, also mentioned the uprising of Ashura and the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (a.s.) and offered condolences to the participating students on the days of martyrdom of the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH).
