Police: Torturing Ex-Administration Soldiers Is Baseless
Reports on media numerous and baseless about the arrest or torturing of former soldiers in Sar-e-Pul. The police chief of this province, Mawlavi Abdul Basir Mazhari said.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Mawlavi Mazhari, in an interview with BNA correspondent, said, the soldiers of the previous regime under the rule of the Islamic Emirate continue their daily life without any worries and the reports about their arrest, torture, and beatings are not true.
 
The officials and Mujahidin of the Islamic Emirate in this province are banned by a decree of the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and no any of the soldiers of the ex-government were tortured or threatened in this province, he added.
 
According to him, currently, more than a hundred employees of the ex-government are continuing their duties in the formation of the Police Command of Sar-e-Pul province.
 
Meanwhile, some of the employees of the Sar-e-Pul Police Command, who have experience working in the previous regime, said, the treatment of the local officials and Mujahidin is good with them in this province, and they do not face any problems in performing their duties and daily life.
