New Historical Sites Discovered in Sar-i-pul
Experts at the Archeology Institute of Afghanistan explored five new historical sites in Sar-i-pul province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The new historic sites were discovered from the center, Gosfandi, and Sancharak districts of Sar-i-pul province in cooperation with the Directorate of Information and Culture of the province.
 
The explored sites include a mosque, caves, and ancient mounds, which are related to the Islamic and pre-Islamic periods, considering the primary evidence.
 
The Director of the Archaeology Institute of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Sadat says that the department is striving to continue the process of surveying archaeological sites in other provinces in order to prevent the usurpation and destruction of historic sites.
