A joint meeting was held regarding electricity projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan
A joint meeting was held on Turkmenistan's imported electricity, Noor-ul-Jihad substation, Khamab-Qarqin and 500 KV Surkhan-Pul-Khumri project between the leadership board of Da Afghanistan Breshna Company and the ambassador of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan and their accompanying technical delegation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In this meeting, Mullah Muhammad Hanif Hamzah, the general executive director of Da Afghanistan Breshna Company, thanked Turkmenistan for its cooperation in the field of electricity with Afghanistan.
 
At the same time, Hojaovizov, the ambassador of Turkmenistan and the country's representative for Afghanistan, has called it important to continue cooperation in the field of electricity trade and related projects between the two countries in order to strengthen relations and cooperation.
 
In this meeting, technical discussions were held between the technical officials of the relevant departments of Da Afghanistan Breshna Company and the technical delegation from the Turkmenistan side regarding the electricity transmission project from Turkmenistan to Noorul Jihad substation in Herat.
 
Simultaneously with the bilateral cooperation, there have been considerable changes and increases in the amount of electricity imported from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan compared to previous years.
 
It should be noted that the National Electricity Company recently signed an electricity import contract with Uzbekistan for the year 1402 AH. Most of Afghanistan's electricity is imported from Central Asian countries, especially Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
