Russia's reaction to Israel's attacks on Damascus; It is unacceptable behavior

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In her statement, Maria Zakharova called the attacks of the Zionist regime a clear violation of the principles of international law and called on Israel to stop its provocative armed actions against Syria.
 
The spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Israel's provocative actions will have serious consequences for the entire Middle East region.
 
Zakharova stated: "In light of the humanitarian crisis that Syria has been facing since two weeks ago due to the earthquake, this position of Israel is a low and unacceptable behavior.”Many countries of the world, including Russia, extended a helping hand to Syria in this great calamity by sending doctors and rescue forces and medical aid."
 
The statement of the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry is issued while five civilians were martyred and 15 others were injured following the rocket attacks of the Israeli regime on Damascus, the capital of Syria.
 
This attack was carried out on the morning of Sunday, February 19, and based on published information, Israeli rockets hit a residential building in Kafr Souza area, in the center of Damascus.
 
The Syrian State News Agency (SANA) announced on Sunday morning that the sound of massive explosions was heard in the sky of Damascus and the beginning of an investigation into its nature.
 
This news agency reported that Syrian air defense systems are dealing with hostile targets in the skies of Damascus. The Zionist media announced that dozens of explosions were heard in the sky of Damascus and said that targets in the southern Rif of Damascus were attacked.
 
Minutes later, the local media published pictures and said that a building in Kafrsouseh area, located in the southern Rif of Damascus, was hit by the Zionist regime's missiles.
 
In addition, the Syrian army said in a statement about this attack: "At 00:22 in the morning, the Israeli enemy fired a missile from the side of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some parts of the city of Damascus and its surroundings, including civilian residential areas. Our air defense intercepted the aggressor missiles and shot down most of them. This aggression led to the death of 5 people, including a soldier, and the wounding of 15 civilians, the destruction of a number of civilian houses, and material damage in a number of neighborhoods in Damascus and its surroundings.
