Suicide bomber attacks Turkish aerospace and defense company in Ankara
Three people were killed and 14 others wounded in a suicide attack on the Turkish Aerospace and Defense Industry Company on the outskirts of Ankara, according to the latest reports. Reports indicate that armed conflict continues in the company.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kayla said on Wednesday evening that two gunmen attacked the country's aerospace and defense industry company, killing two gunmen.
According to reports, one of the attackers blew himself up at the entrance gate of the Turkish Aerospace and Defense Industry Company (Tosash), creating an opportunity for several other attackers to enter the building and the armed clashes are still going on. It is not clear exactly how many attackers are in the building and whether they have taken anyone hostage.
Turkey's NTV has released live footage of the scene, with gunfire still heard from inside the building. Turkish security forces have arrived at the scene.
CCTV footage shows at least three gunmen, one of whom is a woman, shooting at the company's entrance before the explosion.
Tosash is engaged in the design and production of military and civilian drones and aircraft and other defense products.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
