Development of transfers through the railway axis of dialogue between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan
The Ministry of Transportation and Aviation says that the acting head of the ministry has discussed the development of transportation through rail roads with the transportation officials of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan at the head of a delegation on the sidelines of the "North-South Transit and Trade Corridor Meeting".
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Islamic Emirate published a statement saying that Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzadeh, acting head of the ministry, sat on the sidelines at the head of a delegation representing the Islamic Emirate during his trip to Kazakhstan. The North-South Transit and Trade Corridor held tripartite meetings with the transport officials of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

In these meetings, the development of road and rail transport between Afghanistan and these three countries and the provision of transportation facilities were discussed.

On the other hand, a Turkmen media reported on the discussion between the authorities of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan regarding the construction of a new railway.

According to this report, this new railway will extend from "Turgandi" to "Herat" and from "Kandahar" to "Spinboldek" and will be connected to the western border of Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and then to Pakistan and India.

It is also stated in this report that Turkmenistan will soon start the construction of a logistics center in Turgandi.
